For the more wicked aspects of the story, Sieber is keeping things toned down. Because Sieber produces her shows for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Mardi Gras will serve as her backdrop for sin.
Noah is another of Sieber’s ambitious projects. It contains 21 new songs. Four men and four women will sing the leads, and they will be supported by a large cast to portray angels, animals and the wicked.
Sieber, who’s a live wire, composes on a computer and generates a musical soundtrack. In the near future, she plans to gather local singers to record learning tapes for her cast.
She’s also searching for someone for a key role and is concerned about sensitivities. “The wife of Noah’s youngest son is historically a woman of color,” she said, worried about how to phrase such a request. Maybe someone reading this can help her out; if so, call Sieber at 468-5996.
Noah is planned for production in 1996.
